Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm so excited that it's finally here! Thank you God for sending a beautiful baby boy with the infinite power to save us! As much as I am in pain and am having a hard time in life, I can rejoice and find joy in the Lord.

He is good!

I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas. It's wonderful to find joy in life's little moments. I am going to enjoy this time with my family and friends and save the suffering for later.

  1. Kate,
Take a look at my web site, we have helped many pro and ameature athletes with PCS. Your jaw may be part of the problem, sleeping, grinding teeth can cause many problems. www.mahercor.com. The level three appliance is like a sleep guard with an orthotic positioning of the jaw joint.

  2. Merry Christmas, Kate!
Thank you for the wonderful message and your reminder that, despite our suffering, we can find joy in life's little moments. Ultimately, we will have complete healing in the One who saves, Jesus Christ. :)

  3. Ive had PCS for 7 months now - due in part to me doing to much after 3 months and making it worse again. I'm resting and stop to rest whenever my head starts to hurt or im feeling overwhelmed. I am also about to start some regulated exercise ---> www.newswise.com/articles/view/529513 Hopefully by cycling at a level where i am comfortable for a small period every day will help speed up my recovery :-/

  4. Mahercor,

Thank you for your input. I actually had been working in the dental industry for many years before this happened. I do have some knowledge about such devices. I appreciate the information.

    Thanks, Kate

  5. GymDJ,

Thank you for the article. I actually live in Buffalo and have looked into the concussion clinic here.

I haven't gotten any response from them yet, but I am very interested in the studies they have been doing.

Ever since doing research on their site, I've been doing Wii Fit on my own at short, controlled intervals. I do light yoga and some balance exercises for a short amount of time and stop if I start to feel worse than "my normal".

Good luck with your cycling. I hope that you can find a program that works well for you. I'm very sorry that you have to go through all this- I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Please keep me posted on your progress and results. If you are looking for more information on concussions, there is a great community that I am a part of called Neurotalk. There is a message board specifically for PCS and TBI.

    Thanks,
    Kate
